Edwardian 18ct Yellow Gold & Platinum Old-Cut Diamond Daisy Cluster Ring

A beautifully delicate Edwardian diamond cluster ring dating to the early 20th century, crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum-topped setting and set with eight natural old-cut diamonds.

Designed as a charming flower or daisy cluster, a central old-cut diamond is surrounded by seven further old-cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.5mm in diameter. The diamonds are individually set within finely millegrained platinum surrounds, creating a wonderfully intricate scalloped outline while enhancing the bright appearance of the stones.

The use of platinum over yellow gold is characteristic of fine jewellery from this period, allowing the diamonds to be presented against a cool white setting while retaining the warmth and elegance of an 18ct yellow gold shank.

Viewed from the side, the cluster sits gracefully above elegant tapered shoulders with attractive open detailing, giving the ring a light and refined profile on the finger. The flower-shaped cluster is beautifully proportioned: understated enough for everyday wear while retaining plenty of antique character and sparkle.

Although unmarked, the yellow gold has been tested as 18ct. The ring remains in excellent antique condition and is a lovely surviving example of Edwardian jewellery, equally suited as a distinctive engagement ring or a beautiful antique piece for everyday wear.
