Antique 18ct Yellow Gold & Platinum Old-Cut Diamond Five-Stone Ring

A beautiful antique five-stone diamond ring dating to the early 20th century, combining the warmth of 18ct yellow gold with contrasting platinum settings and the distinctive character of old mine cut diamonds.

Five graduated natural old mine cut diamonds are arranged across the finger, with the largest stone positioned at the centre and progressively smaller diamonds towards each side. Each diamond has been individually hand cut, giving the stones the charming irregularity, broad facets and soft, lively sparkle for which old-cut diamonds are so admired.

The diamonds are held within delicate platinum-topped settings, allowing their brightness to stand out beautifully against the rich yellow gold shank. Fine detailing between the stones adds further texture while retaining the wonderfully traditional appearance of the ring.
