Antique 14ct Yellow Gold Gypsy-Set Old Mine Cut Diamond Signet Ring, Circa 1900

A beautifully understated antique diamond signet ring, dating to circa 1900 and crafted in rich 14ct yellow gold.

The gently domed face is centred with a natural old mine cut diamond of approximately 0.10ct, nestled low into the gold within an attractive starburst-style gypsy setting. The hand-cut diamond has the character associated with stones of this period, bringing a subtle flash of antique sparkle to the otherwise smooth, polished design.

The broad shoulders taper gracefully towards the back of the band, giving the ring a wonderfully comfortable profile while retaining the substantial appearance of a traditional signet ring. Its simple combination of warm yellow gold and a single old-cut diamond makes this an exceptionally wearable antique piece – distinctive enough to wear alone, yet easy to pair with other rings.

Dating from around the turn of the 20th century, the ring bears no visible markings but has been tested and confirmed as 14ct gold. It remains in excellent antique condition.
