Description
Circa 1970s, this substantial and bold ring features a large oval shape natural Bloodstone tablet in secure bezel set. Crafted in solid 9CT Yellow Gold, the tapered shoulders direct people’s attention to the centre Bloodstone and leads into a plain flat band towards the back.
The Bloodstone is set flush with the ring surface, making this ring versatile enough to blend in our everyday activities. It has a beautiful dark green body-colour with red patches that resemble spots of blood (hence the name Bloodstone). It measures 13.5mm height by 9.5mm wide. Bloodstone is a popular gemstone in jewellery in Victorian era, it symbolises courage and vitality.
Hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office as 9ct gold, with sponsor mark JSM. This vintage ring is in excellent preowned condition, it is ready to be worn or to gift. The stone is held securely, small sign of usage commensurate with age. Please note the line across the Bloodstone is not a fracture, it doesn’t affect the integrity of the gemstone.
