Layaway Plans
What is Layaway?
Our layaway service allows you to secure the jewellery you love today and spread the cost over time with interest-free instalments.
Simply pay a 20% non-refundable deposit to reserve your chosen item, then pay the remaining balance over an agreed period. Once the balance has been paid in full, your jewellery will be available for collection from our Tavistock shop or dispatched to you.
Layaway is available on purchases of £250 or more.
How it works
1. Choose the item(s) you wish to purchase.
2. Contact us to arrange your layaway plan.
3. Pay a 20% non-refundable deposit to reserve your item.
4. Pay the remaining balance by interest-free instalments over up to four months. If you require longer, we're often happy to accommodate, simply speak to us to arrange a payment schedule that suits you.
5. Once the balance has been paid in full, your jewellery will be ready for collection or securely dispatched.
Frequently Asked Questions
How flexible is the layaway plan?
Our standard layaway period is up to four months, with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
If you're purchasing a higher-value item or need a little more time, we're often able to offer a bespoke payment schedule. Please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements.
Can I cancel my layaway plan?
Yes. You may cancel your layaway plan at any time.
The initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. Any payments made above the deposit will be refunded to your original payment method.
Will my item be sold while I'm making payments?
No. Once your deposit has been received, your jewellery is removed from sale and reserved exclusively for you until your layaway plan is completed or cancelled.
Are there any interest charges or hidden fees?
No. Our layaway service is completely interest free, with no administration fees or hidden charges.
If a payment becomes more than 30 days overdue, we reserve the right to cancel the layaway agreement. In this case, your 20% deposit will be retained and any additional payments will be refunded.
Are credit checks required?
No. We do not carry out credit checks because your jewellery remains with us until the balance has been paid in full.
Is layaway available online and in-store?
Yes. Our layaway service is available for purchases made both online and at our Tavistock, Devon jewellery shop.
Can I receive my jewellery before I've finished paying?
Unfortunately not. Your jewellery will be released for collection or dispatched once the balance has been paid in full.
