Vintage 1995 9ct Rose Gold Jasper & Black Onyx Swivel / Reversible Pendant

An unusual vintage pendant dating to 1995, crafted in warm 9ct rose gold and featuring a reversible gemstone design with natural jasper on one side and polished black onyx on the other.

One side showcases an oval cabochon of natural jasper, displaying a striking combination of earthy terracotta-red, burnt orange and dark brown tones. The stone's intricate natural patterns create an almost mosaic-like appearance, with contrasting areas of colour giving it a wonderfully individual character.

The reverse features a smooth, polished black onyx cabochon, offering a completely different look with its deep, glossy black surface. The reversible setting allows the pendant to be worn with either gemstone facing forward, making it a particularly versatile and interesting piece.

The gemstones are enclosed within a substantial rose gold bezel setting, suspended beneath an elegant openwork design of sweeping curves, stylised foliate motifs and delicate scrollwork. The flowing lines lend the pendant a distinctly Art Nouveau-inspired appearance, beautifully complemented by the warm tones of the rose gold.
