Art Deco Platinum Diamond Full Eternity Ring, Circa 1930s–1940s

A beautifully delicate Art Deco platinum full eternity ring, dating to circa 1930s–1940s and set with a continuous row of sparkling single-cut diamonds.

The slender platinum band is set around its circumference with natural single-cut diamonds, each held within a finely detailed setting characteristic of the period. Delicate hand-engraved decoration runs along both sides of the band, adding texture and intricacy to this wonderfully understated antique ring.

The diamonds have the soft, characterful sparkle associated with early 20th-century cuts and are beautifully complemented by the cool white tone of the platinum. Measuring approximately 2.2mm wide, the ring has an elegant, refined appearance on the hand and would be lovely worn alone, as a wedding or eternity band, or stacked alongside other rings.

As part of its history, the ring has previously been resized, with one diamond position cleverly replaced by a metal decoy designed to imitate the appearance of the surrounding diamond setting. This has been very skilfully executed and is barely noticeable when the ring is worn. The hand-engraved decoration to the sides is also partially rubbed in places, consistent with age and previous wear.
